Bee Hyve is a privacy-focused social networking application. Primary features include:

• User accounts
• Private circles (custom "hyve" groups for organizing your connections)
• Nearby discovery (proximity-based people discovery within ~200 feet)
• Direct messaging
• User-created posts (photos, videos, captions, and songs shared with your connections)

The app does not contain advertising or algorithmic content feeds. Your feed shows only posts from people you are connected with, in chronological order.

For reviewers: please use the provided review credentials to access the application. If a location permission is requested, it is used solely for the nearby connection features described in this policy.

• Profile: display name, bio, profile photo, banner image/video, gallery photos, interests, vibe, and theme color.
• Connections: the people you connect with and any custom "hyve" groups you create to organize them.
• Posts: captions, photos, videos, and songs you choose to share with your connections.
• Messages: text conversations you send to your connections.

Bee Hyve uses your device's GPS to find people within roughly 200 feet (61 meters) of you, so you can connect with people you're actually near. Location coordinates are stored on your profile only long enough to enable discovery and are considered stale after 10 minutes. Location is only requested while you use the app and is never used to track you in the background or sold to anyone.

With your permission, we send push notifications for new connection requests, tags in posts, and messages. Each notification subscription (endpoint, p256dh, and auth keys) is stored so we can deliver these alerts to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Media you upload (profile photos, gallery images, post photos/videos, songs) is stored securely and shown only to the people you choose. Large files are split into chunks for reliable upload and then reassembled. You can delete any post or photo at any time.

Direct messages are stored on our servers so you and your connection can read the conversation. Messages are only visible to the participants of that conversation.

• To create and display your profile and posts.
• To show you people nearby and enable connection requests.
• To deliver push notifications and messages.
• To maintain your list of connections and groups.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your profile, posts, and messages are shared only with the connections and groups you choose. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to improve the app. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bee Hyve and its users.

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual posts, photos, connections, or your entire profile at any time from within the app. Deleting your profile removes your personal information from discovery.

• Turn location permission on or off in your device settings.
• Enable or disable push notifications in your device settings.
• Make yourself invisible to discovery from your profile settings.
• Delete posts, connections, or your profile at any time.

Bee Hyve is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact support so we can delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
